Our Manager Opportunity
Salary Range: $109,000 – $135,000 plus bonus potential
Location: 155 Federal Street, 11th Floor, Boston, MA 02110
As a Manager at Floyd Advisory, you will lead client engagements, oversee project execution, and supervise a talented team of professionals. Your role will encompass not only client interactions and deliverables but also strategic contributions to business development initiatives and firm culture. This is a role that demands both technical expertise and a strong commitment to nurturing relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Client Engagement Leadership: Oversee all aspects of engagement management, including client interactions, internal team communication, deliverables, staffing, and billing. Take a leadership role in preparing and presenting client deliverables, ensuring client satisfaction, and providing strategic insights during client meetings.
- Project Management: Develop comprehensive engagement workplans, manage project timelines, and ensure efficient resource allocation. Provide quality oversight of workpapers and financial data analysis, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team Development and Culture Promotion: Mentor and coach team members, providing meaningful and timely feedback. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
- Business Development: Actively participate in the generation of new client projects by coordinating and developing client proposals and associated budgets. Build and maintain strong client relationships, seeking opportunities to expand the firm’s existing client relationships and market presence.
- Thought Leadership and Innovation: Contribute to internal training programs, thought leadership initiatives, and innovation within the firm. Encourage creative solutions and approaches to enhance client services and improve internal processes.
- Ethical Leadership: Uphold the highest ethical standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and setting an exemplary benchmark for the team and the firm.
To be considered, you will need:
- Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, with demonstrated leadership in managing client engagements and mentoring teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Certifications: A CPA credential is required; specialized credentials such as ABV, CFE, CFF, or CVA are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in GAAP/GAAS research, financial statement analysis, and the preparation of client deliverables. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
- Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead client meetings, present findings, and collaborate in a hybrid working environment.
